How do you get from the Village to the store?
From Washington Square Park, walk west on West 4th Street to Sixth Avenue, keep going to Christopher Street at Sheridan Square, and follow Christopher all the way to West Street. The walk passes Christopher Park and the Stonewall National Monument before the blocks quiet down toward the river.
If you are near Bleecker and MacDougal, Bleecker Street west to Seventh Avenue South and then Christopher Street is just as quick.
Is it worth the walk from MacDougal Street and Minetta Lane?
If you are already out in the Village at night, the store stays open until 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Ordering ahead on the West Village menu means you can time the walk so your order is ready when you arrive.
Many visitors combine the trip with a walk along Hudson River Park, which starts right across West Street from the store.
What should Greenwich Village visitors know before they shop?
You must be 21 or older with a valid government photo ID. New York City's Smoke-Free Air Act applies to parks, so Washington Square Park is not a place to light up; take purchases home. Everything sold here is tested under New York State rules.
