Visiting & ID

What ID do I need to shop at FlynnStoned West Village?

Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID that shows you are 21 or older, such as a driver's license, state ID card or passport. Out-of-state licenses work as long as they show your date of birth. ID is checked at the door and again at the counter, and a student ID or a photo of an ID is not enough on its own.

Is a medical card required to buy here?

No. FlynnStoned West Village is an adult-use dispensary, so any adult 21 or older with valid photo ID can shop. FlynnStoned does not currently hold a medical cannabis license, so the store cannot fill medical certifications, but registered patients are welcome to shop the adult-use menu like any other customer.

Can someone under 21 come into the store with me?

No. Everyone who enters the store must be 21 or older and show valid ID, including friends or family who are only keeping you company. If you are shopping with someone younger, plan for them to wait outside, or place an order online so your stop at the counter is quick.

When is the store least busy?

Weekday mornings after the 9am opening are usually the calmest time to shop. Evenings and sunny weekends bring more foot traffic from Hudson River Park and Christopher Street Pier. If you are short on time, order ahead on the West Village menu so your order is waiting at the counter whatever the time of day.

Ordering & pickup

How does ordering online for pickup work?

Open the West Village menu on flynnstoned.com, add what you want to your cart and check out with in-store pickup. Come to 388 West St with your photo ID, give your name at the counter and collect your order. Orders are tied to this store, so make sure the West Village location is selected before you check out.

Can I schedule a pickup for later in the day?

Yes. The West Village store accepts both as-soon-as-possible pickup orders and scheduled pickups, so you can place an order in the morning and choose a later time that suits you. Pickup times are limited to store hours: 9am to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 9am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Does the West Village store deliver?

No. This location is set up for online orders with in-store pickup only. Other FlynnStoned stores in Manhattan, including Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen, offer delivery; check flynnstoned.com for their delivery areas and terms. For the West Village store, the Christopher Street pages on this site show the quickest way to get here.

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash is accepted at the counter. Other payment options, when available, are shown at checkout on the West Village menu. Because cannabis is still federally restricted, most credit cards cannot be used for cannabis purchases, so it is worth bringing cash or checking the checkout page before you head over.

Products & first-timers

What kinds of products does the West Village store carry?

The menu covers flower in eighths through ounces, pre-rolls including infused singles and packs, vapes in cartridges, pods and all-in-one pens, edibles such as gummies, chocolates and cannabis drinks, plus concentrates and accessories. Brands on the shelf have included SMOKE, STIIIZY, Wana, 5Boro, Nanticoke and Flav. Stock changes often, so check the live West Village menu.

Are the products lab tested?

Yes. New York requires every licensed cannabis product to be tested by a state-licensed laboratory for potency and contaminants before it reaches a dispensary shelf. Test results determine the THC and cannabinoid figures printed on each package, and you can ask staff about any product's details at the counter.

How should a first-timer approach edibles?

Start low and go slow. Many people begin with 2.5 to 5 milligrams of THC and wait at least two hours before taking more, because edibles can take 30 minutes to two hours to kick in and their effects can last several hours. Eat a normal meal, avoid mixing with alcohol and ask staff to point you toward low-dose options.

What do indica, sativa and hybrid labels mean?

They describe a strain's plant lineage. Indica is often associated with heavier, relaxing effects and sativa with lighter, more energetic ones, while hybrids sit in between. In practice, how a product feels depends on its THC level, other cannabinoids, terpenes and your own body, so treat the label as a starting point and ask staff for suggestions.

Deals & rewards

How do I find this week's deals at the West Village store?

Current specials appear in the Deals and Specials section of this site and on the West Village menu at flynnstoned.com, where discounts apply automatically at checkout. Recurring promotions have included Terp Tuesday, with 10% off flower, and Turn Tuesday buy-one-get-one on Turn vapes in store. Specials change, so check the menu before you visit.

How do I join FlynnStoned Rewards?

Sign up with your phone number on the FlynnStoned Rewards page at flynnstoned.com or ask at the counter. Members collect points on purchases and hear about specials first. Bring the phone number you registered with when you shop so your points are added to your account.

New York rules

How much cannabis can I buy at one time?

New York allows adults 21 and older to possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis, and dispensary purchases follow those limits. The online checkout and the counter apply the limits automatically, so if a cart goes over, staff will help you adjust it.

Can I take cannabis on the subway or across to New Jersey?

You can carry legal amounts in sealed packaging on New York City transit, but smoking or vaping on trains, buses and platforms is prohibited. Taking cannabis across state lines, including on the PATH into New Jersey, is not allowed under federal law, even though both states permit adult use.

Getting here

What is the closest subway or train to the store?

The PATH Christopher Street station is about four minutes away on foot. On the subway, the 1 train's Christopher St–Stonewall station is about ten minutes west along Christopher Street, and West 4th St–Washington Sq, served by the A, C, E, B, D, F and M, is about twelve minutes away.

Is there parking near the store?

The store has no parking lot, and West Street is a busy road with limited curbside space. Street parking on the side streets of the West Village is scarce, especially in the evenings, so walking, biking on the Hudson River Greenway or taking the subway is usually faster than driving.

Can I bike to the store?

Yes. The Hudson River Greenway runs right past the store. Leave the path at Christopher Street, opposite the Pier 45 entrance, walk your bike across West Street at the signal and the store is directly ahead. It is about six minutes from Chelsea Piers and about fifteen from Battery Park.
