Why is the Greenway the best route from Battery Park City?
Because you never leave the river. From the north end of Battery Park City near Rockefeller Park and Chambers Street, the bike path runs uninterrupted through Tribeca's piers and past Pier 40 to Christopher Street Pier. By bike it takes about eight minutes; on foot it is a pleasant 25 to 30 minutes.
From the southern end near the Museum of Jewish Heritage, add about ten minutes.
What if the weather is bad?
Walk to WTC Cortlandt or Chambers Street and take the uptown 1 train to Christopher St–Stonewall. From the station, the store is about ten minutes west on Christopher Street.
What should Battery Park City customers know before they go?
Online orders on the West Village menu are set up for pickup at the counter; this location does not deliver. You need a government photo ID showing you are 21 or older. Hudson River Park does not allow smoking, so keep purchases sealed until you are home.
